  • COACH, FOUNDER + TENNIS LOVER

    Kristin was born and raised in Michigan and moved to Colorado twenty-five years ago after a skiing vacation where she fell in love with Colorado. Kristin graduated from the prestigious Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY with a degree in Culinary Arts. A professionally trained chef, Kristin met her husband working in the industry. Kristin and her husband conceptualized, opened, owned, and operated Cooks Fresh Market, a gourmet market, bakery, and catering business for twenty years with two locations, the first in Greenwood Village and the second downtown Denver on the Sixteenth Street Mall. In 2005, The Downtown Denver Partnership honored Cooks Fresh Market with the Small Business of the Year Award for the impact they had on local Denver workers, tourists, and residents.

    Kristi has always been dedicated to her craft and cooking was always her hobby until she was introduced to the game of tennis. Kristin fell in love for the sport that she now calls her passion. After selling Cook’s Fresh Market in 2019, Kristin turned her new hobby into her new profession. Kristin continually works on her game by taking lessons from top coaches.

    Her enthusiasm, drive and love of tennis cumulated in her taking and passing the USPTA teaching professional certification.

    Kristin’s past entrepreneurial experiences and success in business have helped her successfully grow AdvantageYou, Inc., providing a professionally run and passionate racquet sports instruction business. Combining her passion for the sport and business acumen have contributed immensely to her success and in all aspects of tennis operations. AdvantageYou, Inc. is a passionate, professionally run business dedicated to growing racquet sports in Colorado through organized and enthusiastic instruction forged in proper technique with an emphasis on positive mind set. AdvantageYou helps create racquet sport enthusiasts for a lifetime.

  • COACH, FOUNDER + LIFE-LONG PLAYER

    Peter was born and raised in Toronto, Canada and started to play tennis at six-years old. Peter immediately fell in love with the sport and quickly became one of the top junior players in all of Canada. Peter’s passion for learning and development allowed him to gain amazing life experiences at a young age. He was able to travel all over the world and play in some of the biggest tennis tournaments. He developed amazing friendships and played some of the biggest stars in the game. After Peter stopped playing competitive tennis, he quickly found passion in coaching and in developing tennis players. He thoroughly enjoys working with players of all ages and levels and likes to instill the same passion with his clients that tennis has brought him.

    Some of Peter’s tennis accomplishments include:

    • Ranked Number 1 in Canada in the boys under 16 and under 18 age divisions

    • 6-time Junior National Champion (3 at singles, 3 at doubles)

    • Ranked as high as number 72 in the world boys under 18

    • Represented Canada in Junior Davis cup boys under 16’s and boys under 18’s

    • Competed in three junior grand slams (Australian Open, French Open, US Open)

    • Played current hall of fame Jonas Bjorkman in a master series 1000 event and went three sets

    • Played Division One collegiate tennis for LSU and was the number 1 player on the team during freshman and sophomore years. LSU finished as high as top 10 in the country as a team and Peter was ranked as high as top 35 in singles and top 20 in doubles

    Some of Peter’s coaching highlights include:

    • Coached multiple players to US national titles

    • Coached a player to a career high top 5 in the nation.

    • Helped develop numerous players to compete at the collegiate level

    • Coached multiple adult USTA teams to sectionals and nationals

    • Has been selected as a working coach for team USA training camps

  • Jason was born and raised in Dodge City, Kansas. He played tennis for St Mary’s of the Plains College and then for Kansas State University.

    Jason’s coaching career started early after college. He was the men’s and women’s assistant head coach at the University of Wisconsin at Whitewater and then the assistant women’s coach at Temple University, PA.

    Jason spent nine years at Cherry Hill Health and Racquet Club, NJ, as the Junior Tennis Coordinator.

    For five years, Jason was a teaching tennis professional at Colorado Athletic Club Inverness, CO, where he was one the most requested professionals for USTA team coaches. His drills and private lessons were always in high demand as his reputation for high-quality instruction grew.

    For the past two years, Jason has spent his time on the courts at Parker Racquet Sports in Parker, CO running programming, coaching, and developing players of all levels and abilities.

    Jason’s diverse coaching experience is one of many reasons he connects with all his players and why he is considered one of Denver’s best tennis instructors.

    Jason constantly impacts players of all levels and ages, sharing his passion for tennis with all who play on his court.  Jason runs fun, informative, high-intensity drills and lessons, giving you confidence in your game, strategy, and stroke mechanics.

  • Joey was the #1 junior player in Florida and ranked in the top 10 nationally as a junior.

    He played collegiate tennis for the University of Florida and the University of North Carolina.

    Joey was an assistant coach at Michigan State University and was a coach for the USTA player development at the USTA national campus in Orlando, FL.

    Joey has coached on the professional Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) tour and has coached multiple professional players ranked as high as 50 globally. In addition, Joey has also coached top junior players competing in top international tournaments.

    Joey is USPTA Certified and USTA High-Performance Certified.

    Joey specializes in high-performance junior development but runs the most down-to-earth and informative drills for recreational players of all levels.

Meet the Team

The AdvantageYOU team is dedicated to selecting instructors who share our values. Our success depends on the satisfaction, effort, and commitment of each one of our instructors.  

  • Bev is a Certified USPTA Teaching Professional and a longtime Colorado tennis player. She is a 4.5 USTA player and has been a multiple USTA team captain for over eighteen years. Bev has competed in USTA Nationals three times and in USTA Regionals four times.

    In 2010, Bev was ranked the #1 3.0 singles player in Colorado. In addition to her years of on-court experience, Bev has been the League and Court Coordinator for Colorado Athletic Club Inverness. Bev managed USTA leagues and handled member billing, court scheduling, data entry, roster management, and member communication. She also did all tennis special event planning, permanent court time coordination, USTA Tournament management, player recruitment for teams, intraclub leagues, administrative and tennis payroll.

    Currently, Bev also spends time at Glenmoor Country Club as the League Coordinator.

    Bev is a youth tennis camp specialist and will be teaching junior tennis and managing JTT for AdvantageYou.

    A little-known fact about Bev is she is also a professional dance instructor and has starred in a Wrigley’s Gum commercial.
