USTA Summer Junior Team Tennis-2024
USTA Junior Team Tennis is a program designed for boys and girls aged 7 to 18 to play singles and doubles matches. It is a fun and healthy activity and provides a competitive environment based on skill level that promotes individual growth, social development, and life skills. Our ultimate goal is to ensure all players have a great time, stay fit, and make new friends! We are committed to offering kids of all ages and skill levels an opportunity to experience the joy of playing tennis while improving their skills. JTT offers multiple levels for each age group, and we aim to place players in the appropriate skill levels so that they can continue to grow as athletes. As part of the USTA CO, we are excited to bring kids together as a team, promote sportsmanship, and teach valuable life lessons that extend beyond the court.
2024 Summer JTT runs on Mondays for 7 weeks from June 10th to July 22nd. The match times for each age group are as follows:
- 10 and Under: 8 am
- 12 and Under: 9:30am
- 14 and Under: 11:00am
- 18 and Under: 12:30 pm
Matches usually last about 1.5 hours, half of which will be held at your home courts and the other half in nearby neighborhoods.
The team that wins their division will qualify for the State Championships! This is an exciting 3-day weekend, August 2-4 generally, the state takes place in the Denver metro area)
We highly recommend enrolling your child in Spring tennis if they plan to participate in JTT. The spring session classes are an hour long, while the summer programming classes are 1.5 hours long. Enrolling in these classes will give young athletes the confidence they need when they start playing in June. Last year, 10 teams qualified for the state championships; four won first place in their respective divisions, while others were runners-up.
To sign up for Junior Team Tennis (JTT), click on Summer Session, select your classes, and choose JTT League with Tennis Drills under the summer package at checkout. Everything will be combined. Signing up before May 7 will give you early registration pricing!
