Kids & Juniors Tennis

At Advantage YOU, we believe young players thrive when fundamentals are taught correctly and the environment remains positive, structured, and encouraging.

Our junior pathway is designed to meet players where they are and help them grow with confidence while enjoying the game from the very beginning.

Development Pathway

Each level uses age-appropriate equipment and structured progression so players can rally, compete, and feel successful at every stage.

Red Ball

Ages 4.5–7 | Racquet Size 19–23 inches | 36' Court

Red Ball is where young players discover how much fun tennis can be. Smaller courts, shorter racquets, and slower-moving balls allow children to rally sooner and experience early success.

Sessions focus on coordination, balance, and foundational stroke skills through structured games and active movement. Players are grouped by ability to ensure confidence and steady growth.

Orange Ball

Ages 8–10 | Racquet Size 23–25 inches | 60' Court

Orange Ball builds momentum. Played on a 60-foot court with slightly faster balls, this level introduces longer rallies and more dynamic movement while keeping the game manageable and enjoyable.

Players continue developing technique, footwork, and court awareness while beginning supervised match play in a supportive setting.

Green Ball

Ages 11–12.5 | Racquet Size 25–26 inches | 78' Court

Green Ball prepares players for full-court tennis while maintaining rally consistency and control. Slightly reduced compression balls help players develop stronger strokes and longer exchanges with confidence.

Instruction emphasizes serving, directional control, and structured point play to prepare for match formats.

Yellow Ball

Ages 13+ | Racquet Size 27–29 inches | 78' Court

Yellow Ball represents traditional tennis and full-court play.

Teen Development

Designed for middle and high school players, this level balances skill refinement with competitive play. Sessions focus on consistency, footwork, and situational training in a structured and positive environment.

Players are grouped by ability to ensure the right level of challenge while keeping the game enjoyable.

Kids Programs Offered

Our programs provide multiple ways for players to develop skills, build confidence, and enjoy time on the court throughout the year.

Spring & Fall After-School Tennis

Weekly seasonal sessions that follow our structured development pathway. Players are grouped by ball color and ability to ensure steady progression throughout the season.

Summer Training Program

7-Week Session | 1–2 Days Per Week

The Summer Training Program is designed for players who want to continue building skills and confidence throughout the summer.

Sessions meet once or twice per week and follow a clear progression model that builds toward long-term improvement. Players receive focused instruction, structured drilling, and guided match play to maintain momentum during the summer months.

We strongly recommend two training days per week for players seeking meaningful improvement. In our experience, consistent twice weekly training allows players to retain skills, build momentum, and develop greater confidence in match play. Athletes who train two days per week and participate in Junior Team Tennis typically progress more quickly and feel more prepared during competition.

Summer Camps

Monday–Thursday | Half-Day

Our summer camps offer extended time on court in a high-energy, social setting. While technical instruction remains a priority, camps blend structured learning with games-based activities and team challenges.

Players build skills, stay active, and enjoy the experience of being on court with peers in a fun and encouraging environment.

Junior Team Tennis

Summer League Play

Junior Team Tennis is available to players enrolled in the Summer Training Program. Participation in Summer Training ensures players are practicing together weekly and preparing intentionally for match play.

Teams compete in a USTA-based league throughout the summer, with matches held on Mondays. Players rotate between singles and doubles while representing their community against nearby clubs and programs.

This experience introduces competitive structure within a supportive team environment, reinforcing confidence, sportsmanship, and match awareness.
